What it is

Community events may include public ceremonies, recruiting tables, service events, parades, Scout nights, or approved local gatherings.

Recent Pack 60 examples include a Black Bears baseball overnight, a Tiger den mosaic art visit, and a program where visiting students helped scouts learn about ASL, braille, and accessibility.

Learning about local government

Morgantown Mayor Daniel Trumble visited Pack 60’s Webelos den to discuss elections, local government, and civic participation. Scouts asked questions and completed activities exploring how community decisions are made.

When it usually happens

Timing depends on community invitations and pack availability.

Why scouts enjoy it

Scouts enjoy representing the pack, helping others, and seeing how Scouting connects with the wider community.

What families should know

Community events are a chance for scouts to be visible, helpful, and connected in Morgantown.
